Apple has always taken leaks seriously-sometimes even to the point of filing lawsuits against high-profile leakers.
But in a twist of irony, Apple has just leaked several of its own upcoming products through code accidentally included in its software.
HomePod mini 2 on the way
Among the products revealed is a new HomePod mini, codenamed B525. This successor to the current B520 model is expected to pack a major upgrade under the hood: a 64-bit dual-core CPU based on the A16 processor, and a four-core Neural Engine-features absent from the 2020 HomePod mini. The device could launch as early as next month and no later than the end of 2025.
Apple TV with A17 Pro chip
The leak also points to a new Apple TV powered by the A17 Pro, the same chip inside the iPhone 15 Pro series. This represents a big jump from the current A15 Bionic model. With the upgrade, Apple TV could support Apple Intelligence features and even run console-quality games. Apple is reportedly testing its own Bluetooth/Wi-Fi chip for this device. A release may happen as soon as this year.
Next-gen iPad mini and entry-level iPad
A new iPad mini (J510/J511) surfaced in the leak, rumored to use the powerful A19 Pro chip, set to debut with the iPhone 17 Pro. This version might be the long-rumored OLED iPad mini, expected for 2026–2027. The A19 Pro is said to have more GPU cores than the standard A19, though a binned variant could appear in the slimmer iPhone 17 Air.
The entry-level iPad (J581/J582) will see a boost from the A16 to the A18 processor. With a 16-core Neural Engine and Apple Intelligence support, it could launch next spring, though its design is expected to remain unchanged.
Apple Watch and Vision Pro upgrades
The Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3 will likely use the new S11 chip, featuring dual performance cores, a 64-bit dual-core CPU, and a four-core Neural Engine. Meanwhile, the Vision Pro 2 will upgrade from the M2 to the upcoming M5 chip, with a possible release in late 2025.
Other hardware in the pipeline
Finally, Apple is preparing a second-generation Studio Display, possibly with mini-LED backlighting, tipped for release early next year. These leaks paint a picture of Apple’s next wave of devices-whether intentional or not.
