Xbox is closing out October 2025 with a surprisingly strong lineup for Game Pass, balancing blockbuster sequels, creative indie experiences, and a few niche gems that deserve more attention.

For a month that started strong, the final stretch adds some serious momentum to Microsoft’s subscription service – enough to keep players busy well into November.

The first big highlight is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which officially enters Game Pass today. Its improvements to realism, dynamic weather systems, and global air traffic simulation make it one of the most advanced flight experiences ever released. Players can soar across the world in real time with breathtaking accuracy – the kind of title that defines next-gen immersion.

Just a day later, on October 23, two other major releases land simultaneously: PowerWash Simulator 2 and Bounty Star. The first is an oddly satisfying follow-up to the original cult hit, expanding its career mode with new tools, cooperative features, and wilder cleaning challenges that range from ancient ruins to crashed UFOs. Meanwhile, Bounty Star blends mech combat with farming mechanics in a gritty desert world – think Armored Core meets Stardew Valley.

Then, on October 24, the whimsical PC-only release Super Fantasy Kingdom joins the catalog, inviting players into a hand-drawn world of city building and exploration. Later that week, on October 28, fans of challenging roguelikes can dive into Halls of Torment, a survival title inspired by gothic horror and retro-style action RPGs.

The biggest arrival, however, is reserved for the end of the month: The Outer Worlds 2. Launching October 29, this is one of Xbox’s last major releases for the year and perhaps the most anticipated. Obsidian’s sharp writing and satirical take on corporate-dominated space colonies are back, this time with a larger world, deeper role-playing systems, and more creative freedom. It’s shaping up to be one of 2025’s must-play titles – and its inclusion in Game Pass makes it even sweeter.

To round out the lineup, one of 2024’s most celebrated indie hits, 1000xResist, will arrive on November 4. Its emotionally charged sci-fi story about memory, identity, and rebellion earned critical acclaim last year and promises to find a wider audience through Game Pass.

Other notable inclusions include Commandos: Origins (available October 22) and Football Manager 26, the latter being playable across PC, console, and cloud. Together, they showcase the incredible diversity of the platform – from tactical nostalgia to deep management simulations.

As always, new games mean some must leave. After October 31, Jusant, Metal Slug Tactics, and Return to Monkey Island will exit the library, so players should wrap up their adventures before they vanish. Overall, this October represents one of the most varied and exciting months for Game Pass in recent memory – a perfect mix of polish, creativity, and sheer fun.
