The iQOO Z10R has been officially teased for the Indonesian market, but fans expecting the same device that launched earlier in India might be in for a surprise.
Despite sharing the same name, the Indonesian iQOO Z10R is practically a different smartphone altogether, offering distinct hardware and a few design similarities to another Vivo device.
According to early listings, pre-orders for the Indonesian Z10R will begin on October 23, with general sales expected to follow after October 31. While the official reveal hasn’t happened yet, key specs already paint a clear picture. This variant is powered by the Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset and packs a 6,500mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging – an impressive figure for its segment. Meanwhile, the Indian iQOO Z10R uses the Dimensity 7400 and features a smaller 5,700mAh cell with only 44W charging.
Interestingly, all evidence points to this Indonesian Z10R being a rebranded Vivo V60 Lite. The similarities extend beyond the chipset and battery – the camera island, screen specifications, and even the 120Hz OLED display with up to 3,000 nits of brightness are nearly identical. In essence, what we’re seeing might just be the V60 Lite dressed in iQOO branding and new color finishes like Elegant Black and Titanium Gold.
What makes this move more confusing is that the Vivo V60 Lite is already sold in Indonesia, available in both 4G and 5G versions. The 5G model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage retails for about IDR 5,000,000 ($300), while the top 12GB/512GB configuration goes for IDR 6,000,000. This raises the obvious question – why launch another phone that’s essentially the same device under a different badge?
Perhaps iQOO is trying to reach a different audience segment or strengthen its own identity in Indonesia’s mid-range market. Still, many enthusiasts are frustrated by the constant renaming and repackaging of nearly identical devices. Whether this rebranding hides any hidden upgrades or performance tweaks remains to be seen – but for now, it feels more like marketing gymnastics than innovation.
