Samsung is preparing to make history once again with what could become its most ambitious foldable yet – the Galaxy Z TriFold. According to multiple reports from South Korea, the company is gearing up to showcase the world’s first triple-folding smartphone during the prestigious APEC CEO Summit Korea 2025, held in the city of Gyeongju from October 28 to 31.

The event coincides with the broader APEC summit, which will draw global leaders and business executives, making it the perfect international stage for Samsung’s next-generation innovation.

While attendees won’t be able to handle the device directly – it will be displayed under a glass enclosure – the mere sight of the Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to command attention. Samsung reportedly aims to leverage this high-profile occasion to highlight its dominance in foldable display technology and reinforce its image as a global tech leader capable of redefining smartphone form factors once again.

The Galaxy Z TriFold represents a bold new direction in mobile engineering. It will reportedly feature three interconnected display panels linked by two precision-engineered hinges, allowing it to unfold into a large 10-inch OLED tablet while maintaining a 6.5-inch cover display for everyday use. Unlike Huawei’s Mate XT, which uses a mix of inward and outward folds, Samsung’s model is said to utilize a fully inward, U-shaped folding design to better protect its screens and minimize wear over time.

Structurally, Samsung is rumored to employ a titanium alloy frame – a material choice that enhances durability while reducing weight compared to aluminum. Inside, the Galaxy Z TriFold will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, ensuring cutting-edge performance for multitasking, gaming, and AI-driven features. Powering this futuristic device will be three separate batteries that together exceed 5,000mAh, enabling all-day usage even in tablet mode.

The TriFold’s global launch is reportedly planned for key markets including the United States, the UAE, and Vietnam, with wider availability expected in 2026. If Samsung delivers what it promises, this could redefine what consumers expect from premium smartphones and push foldable design into an entirely new era of productivity and versatility.
