The Oppo Find X9 has officially stepped into the spotlight, and after spending some quality hands-on time with it, we can confidently say Oppo is setting a new bar for design precision and flagship craftsmanship in 2025.
Oppo Find X9 Hands-On: A Masterclass in Flagship Refinement
This isn’t just a minor upgrade over the Find X8 – it’s a thoughtfully refined evolution that feels purpose-built to impress both visually and technically.

From the moment you pick it up, the Find X9 delivers that unmistakable premium touch. The cold aluminum frame, perfectly contoured edges, and matte glass back create a synergy of comfort and luxury. Fingerprints barely stick, and the phone’s weight – 203 grams – provides a reassuring solidity without feeling cumbersome. At 7.99mm thick, it’s not the slimmest flagship around, but the ergonomic balance and precise curvature make it feel almost tailor-made for the hand.

Oppo offers three color finishes this time: Titanium Grey, Space Black, and a striking Velvet Red that turns heads wherever it appears. The red variant, in particular, adds a sense of bold personality, standing out against the sea of monochrome phones in today’s market. The metallic shimmer under light gives it a character reminiscent of luxury sports cars – confident and dynamic.

The front is dominated by a stunning 6.59-inch flat OLED display. While the dimensions remain identical to last year’s Find X8, the bezels are slimmer than ever at just 1.15mm, creating an illusion of even more screen real estate. Visuals are vibrant and crisp, and the adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate ensures both buttery-smooth scrolling and energy efficiency. Whether you’re watching HDR content or gaming, the screen delivers that immersive flagship experience that users expect – and Oppo doesn’t disappoint.

On the back, a trio of 50MP cameras sits in a sleek circular module. The main lens employs Sony’s LYT-808 sensor – the same trusted powerhouse from the X8 Pro – while the 73mm periscope telephoto offers 3x optical zoom, perfect for portraits and distant details. The 15mm ultrawide completes the versatile trio. New this year is Oppo’s 9-channel multispectral sensor, branded as the True Color Camera, promising more accurate tones and depth in every shot. This sensor is particularly interesting, as it aims to solve one of smartphone photography’s most persistent issues: color consistency across lenses.

Powering all this is MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chipset paired with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Performance feels instantaneous, with multitasking and gaming handled effortlessly. Oppo didn’t stop at performance – durability has seen serious attention too. With IP66, IP68, and even IP69 certifications, this is one of the most water- and dust-resistant smartphones on the market, capable of withstanding high-pressure sprays and submersion.

Battery life looks equally impressive, thanks to a massive 7,025mAh silicon-carbon anode cell. Oppo’s shift to this advanced battery chemistry promises higher energy density and longer lifespan – something that could make a real difference for power users. Charging is predictably fast, and ColorOS 16, built on Android 16, feels cleaner and smoother, with improved animations and tighter ecosystem integration.

Oppo will roll out the Find X9 and X9 Pro globally later this month, with full pricing details still under wraps. We’re also preparing an in-depth camera test with the Find X9 Pro, including the optional Hasselblad Professional Teleconverter Kit – a clear sign that Oppo is serious about bridging the gap between mobile and professional photography.

Overall, the Oppo Find X9 stands out as one of the most balanced and refined flagships we’ve seen this year – a phone that feels as good as it looks, and one that proves Oppo’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and performance.
