Vertu’s return to the spotlight has taken an unexpected turn as the company’s upcoming smartphone, the Vertu Agent Q, leaked just hours before its official debut. The leak reveals nearly every detail about the phone, from its luxurious materials to its powerful internals – and it seems to blur the line between bespoke craftsmanship and recycled tech.
According to the leaked materials, the Agent Q will run on Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the higher-binned version of the chip, coupled with a hefty 16GB of RAM and storage options of 512GB or 1TB. 
In a move fitting its premium branding, Vertu is reportedly offering 10TB of cloud storage to every buyer – a statement that aims to justify its elite positioning. The display will be a 120Hz AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, suggesting a focus on both speed and visual refinement.
The camera setup is equally ambitious: a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor with a 35mm focal length, a 50MP ultrawide OmniVision OV50D sensor, and a 64MP telephoto OmniVision OV64B camera offering a 70mm focal length at f/2.6. Together, these promise flagship-level photography, though skeptics wonder whether the performance will match the marketing.
Battery life is handled by a 5,565 mAh cell with 65W fast charging, and the device includes NFC, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 7, and that unmistakable Vertu heft – measuring 165.2 × 74.6 × 11.5 mm and weighing 262 grams. But while the specs scream performance, the design whispers familiarity. Many online commenters have already noticed uncanny similarities to recent ZTE and Nubia models, prompting speculation that Vertu may have borrowed (or outright rebranded) existing hardware.
Still, Vertu’s real challenge lies beyond hardware. The brand’s past attempts at ultra-luxury Android phones have often been criticized for combining outdated tech with excessive prices.
