Turtle Beach has lifted the curtain on a massive new lineup of officially licensed Nintendo Switch 2 accessories – a complete ecosystem of controllers, protective cases, and headsets that aim to elevate the upcoming console’s launch experience.
Set to roll out starting this November, the collection blends style, function, and affordability, showing that Turtle Beach intends to dominate the accessory scene from day one.
Let’s start with the controllers – the centerpiece of this launch. Turtle Beach’s new lineup features three design families: Afterglow, Afterglow Wave, and Rematch. Each comes in both wired and wireless models, meaning the total number of new controllers technically ranges between three and six depending on how you count. These controllers are not just rebranded versions of older models, but refined successors inspired by PDP’s original Nintendo accessories. Turtle Beach acquired PDP last year, and that influence shows: gone is the clunky, overbuilt aesthetic of older third-party gamepads. Instead, these new models look modern, sleek, and much closer to the minimalist feel of Nintendo’s official Pro Controller.
The Afterglow controller features a translucent shell with fully customizable RGB lighting. Players can tweak lighting patterns to create a vibrant visual experience that pulses along with gameplay. For those who want something bolder, the Afterglow Wave version replaces the clear casing with a stylish, opaque design that comes in black, blue, purple, or white, with glowing wavy light lines slicing through the body – a subtle yet striking twist that gives the controller a futuristic edge. Meanwhile, the Rematch Wireless Controller drops the RGB lighting altogether in favor of a more serious, performance-focused look: a matte black finish with bold red joystick rings that make it stand out without screaming for attention.
All the wireless models are equipped with Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) sticks – a cutting-edge alternative to traditional Hall Effect sensors. This technology helps reduce joystick drift, one of the most frustrating issues in modern controllers. They also offer an impressive 30-foot wireless range and up to 20 hours of battery life per charge. Each controller includes motion controls, mappable back buttons, and a dedicated GameChat button for quick communication. For players who prefer a wired setup, those versions cost $29.99 and trade motion controls for a built-in 3.5mm audio jack, perfect for voice chat without latency. Wireless models will retail for $64.99 – an appealing mid-range price compared to Nintendo’s first-party controllers. The Rematch controller will hit shelves first on November 24, followed by other variants rolling out through January 2026.
Turtle Beach didn’t stop at controllers. The brand is also releasing a full suite of Switch 2 cases designed to protect and transport the new console in style. The most compact of the bunch, the PlayTrek Slim Case, will retail for $19.99. It features a snug, minimalist profile and a tough shell that looks strikingly similar to the popular Tomtoc case that IGN praised earlier this year. For those who need more storage space, the PlayTrek Travel Case ($24.99) offers extra room for accessories and comes in both black and white. And for gamers who like to carry everything, Turtle Beach is introducing a clever 2-in-1 case system launching November 12. It combines a smaller travel-style Switch 2 case with a larger storage case that can hold the console dock, charger, extra Joy-Cons, and even a standard gamepad – ideal for anyone who wants a single, organized carry solution for both home and travel setups.
Rounding out the collection is the Airlite Fit Wired Gaming Headset, designed specifically for Switch 2 players who want solid audio performance without spending a fortune. Priced at just $27.99, the headset sports 40mm drivers for balanced, powerful sound and a flip-to-mute microphone for instant privacy. The closed-back, over-ear design uses plush ear cushions that provide passive noise isolation, reducing background noise without the need for active noise cancellation. Its 3.8-foot cable and 3.5mm connector make it compatible with not just the Switch 2, but also phones, tablets, and PCs.
Altogether, this launch signals that Turtle Beach is serious about making the Switch 2 experience seamless, stylish, and accessible. With competitive pricing, modern designs, and a mix of wired and wireless options, these accessories are poised to become go-to choices for both casual players and enthusiasts looking to expand their Switch 2 setups this holiday season.
