Samsung has officially rolled out One UI 8, its latest software update built on Android 16, to Galaxy tablets, and while the update may not be as sweeping as the jump to One UI 7, it introduces a noteworthy addition that tablet owners have been waiting for. 
The Galaxy Tab S10 series, including the Tab S10+ and the Tab S10 Ultra, has now gained access to a smart AI-powered feature known as Now Brief, making Samsung’s premium tablets smarter, more personalized, and more useful throughout the day.
The arrival of Now Brief on Galaxy Tab S10
The One UI 8.0 stable build first went live in South Korea, with early adopters confirming that their Galaxy Tab S10 units received Now Brief as part of the update. This addition extends the Galaxy AI ecosystem to tablets, after its successful debut earlier this year with the Galaxy S25 smartphone lineup and its subsequent rollout to the Galaxy Tab S11 series. Samsung’s strategy is clear: AI will increasingly sit at the center of its mobile and tablet experiences.
Now Brief is designed as a contextual intelligence hub, working quietly in the background to surface timely and relevant information as your day progresses. Instead of forcing you to open multiple apps, it compiles snippets of what matters most – like weather forecasts when you wake up, your calendar schedule before meetings, music suggestions for commutes, or a digest of news articles aligned with your interests. At night, it can even remind you of moments captured during the day by pulling together your recent photos, videos, and activity data such as step counts.
Customization and personal touch
What makes Now Brief stand out is its flexibility. Samsung allows users to fine-tune exactly what they want to see. Not into news suggestions or don’t care for automatically generated music playlists? Those cards can be disabled with a quick toggle, letting you focus only on the essentials.
