Samsung has officially begun rolling out its long-awaited One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 series, marking a significant step forward in the company’s software support roadmap.

The rollout kicked off on September 15 in South Korea, where the stable build first became available. While the first wave is targeting the Galaxy S25 lineup, Samsung has confirmed that other flagship models released in 2024 will also receive One UI 8. However, users of those devices may have to wait until October in certain markets, as Samsung carefully manages server load and regional deployment schedules.

One UI 8, based on Android 16, isn’t described as a massive leap in design compared to One UI 7, but it brings several key refinements that improve stability and usability.
