vivo is preparing to expand its V60 series with the introduction of the V60e, a device that appears positioned as a more affordable but still capable companion to the V60 flagship launched earlier this year. 
Recently leaked live images, paired with detailed specifications, give us a clear picture of what to expect from the upcoming smartphone.
The V60e will reportedly arrive in two striking finishes: Noble Gold and Elite Purple. Leaked images showcase the Elite Purple option, which carries a stylish, premium look. vivo is emphasizing durability for this model, equipping it with both IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance – something usually reserved for rugged or high-end devices. Adding to that is Diamond Shield Glass protection, which is meant to reduce the risk of scratches and cracks over time.
In terms of longevity, vivo is committing to three major Android OS updates and five years of security patches, aligning with industry leaders that are beginning to extend their support lifecycles. For added versatility, the phone includes an IR blaster and NFC functionality, features that appeal to users looking for everyday convenience.
Powering the V60e is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset, a solid mid-range SoC designed to balance efficiency and performance. The device will be available in three memory configurations: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and a more premium 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. These options provide flexibility for both casual users and those who demand extra performance and storage capacity.
One of the standout aspects of the V60e compared to its predecessor, the V50e, is the upgraded battery. vivo is outfitting the phone with a massive 6,500 mAh unit, supported by 90W wired fast charging. This represents a significant leap over the V50e, ensuring longer use between charges and quicker top-ups, all while using the same Dimensity 7300 platform.
As for pricing, the vivo V60e is expected to debut in India with a starting price of INR 28,999, placing it firmly in the competitive mid-range smartphone market. While an exact release date remains under wraps, the leaks suggest that an official launch could be imminent. For consumers, the V60e could become an attractive option if vivo manages to combine durability, long-term software support, and performance at the right price point.
