Samsung has officially unveiled its stable One UI 8 update rollout schedule, putting an end to weeks of speculation fueled by leaks and regional community posts.
The company has already begun rolling out the update to the Galaxy S25 series, and it has now clarified which devices will follow, along with approximate dates for each wave of releases.
The announcement confirms that while some Galaxy models are already receiving One UI 8, others will join the rollout progressively through September, October, and November. Samsung initially hinted at a broader release “later this year,” but new details shared through Samsung’s Korean and Brazilian branches provide a clear timeline for users eager to upgrade.
Galaxy S Series
The flagship Galaxy S line is naturally at the forefront of this update cycle. Owners of the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Edge, and S25 Ultra have already started receiving the update from September 18. A week later, beginning September 25, the Galaxy S24 series – including the S24, S24+, S24 FE, and S24 Ultra – will be next in line. October marks an even wider rollout, covering the Galaxy S23 family from October 2, the Galaxy S22 lineup from October 6, and the Galaxy S21 FE on October 16.
Galaxy Z Series
Samsung’s foldables are not left behind. The latest Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 joined the schedule on September 25, while their predecessors – the Z Fold5 and Flip5 – are set to receive the update on October 2. Going further back, the Z Fold4 and Flip4 are expected on October 6, showing Samsung’s commitment to maintaining robust software support for its foldable portfolio.
Galaxy A Series
The more affordable but extremely popular Galaxy A series also features heavily. Starting September 25, the A56 5G and A36 5G begin their updates. October 2 extends support to devices like the A55 5G, A35 5G, A26, and the A17 series. By October 6, midrange hits such as the A54 5G, A34 5G, A25 5G, and A16 series join in. On October 16, the rollout reaches the A73 5G, A53 5G, A24, A15, and the budget-friendly A06 lineup. Finally, the Galaxy A33 5G will get One UI 8 on October 23.
Galaxy Tab Series
Samsung’s tablets are also receiving timely attention. From October 2, the Galaxy Tab S10 series – including S10, S10+, S10 Ultra, S10 FE, and S10 Lite – begins updating. The Tab S9 lineup follows on October 6, while the Tab S8 family is scheduled for October 16. This ensures Samsung’s tablets, often used in professional and creative workflows, stay up to date with the latest interface refinements and performance boosts.
It’s important to note that the above rollout schedules are specific to South Korea and Brazil. Samsung has not yet shared global timelines, meaning users in Europe, North America, and other regions may see slightly different dates. Historically, Samsung has staggered its releases depending on carrier testing, local regulations, and optimization needs, so international users may need to wait a bit longer.
Nevertheless, the official confirmation provides much-needed clarity. With One UI 8, Samsung is expected to deliver a cleaner design, better integration with Android’s latest features, improved multitasking tools, and a smoother overall experience across its Galaxy ecosystem. For millions of Samsung users, the coming weeks and months will bring a refreshed software experience that enhances both flagship devices and more affordable models alike.
