Samsung has finally introduced the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite to the Indian market, a few months after its global debut. The device positions itself as a mid-range option that bridges the gap between the budget-friendly Galaxy A series and the premium Galaxy Tab S11 lineup.
While it may not carry the same high-end hardware as its flagship sibling, the S10 Lite still manages to pack a balance of performance, features, and price that should appeal to many consumers looking for a capable daily-use tablet without crossing into premium territory.
In terms of pricing, Samsung has released both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+5G variants, giving buyers flexibility depending on their connectivity needs. The entry-level configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at ₹31,000 for the Wi-Fi version and ₹36,000 for the 5G model. For users needing extra horsepower and storage, there’s also an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option, available at ₹41,000 (Wi-Fi) and ₹46,000 (5G). On top of that, storage can be expanded further via the microSD slot, a feature often missing in higher-end tablets.
The hardware sits comfortably between Samsung’s budget and flagship lines. Compared to the Galaxy Tab S11, which starts at a hefty ₹81,000 with a 12/128GB configuration, the S10 Lite is far more affordable. Naturally, there are trade-offs. The S11 features a 120Hz OLED display, DeX support, and a cutting-edge Dimensity 9400+ processor, while the S10 Lite uses a 10.9-inch 90Hz LCD panel powered by the Exynos 1380. Still, for most casual users, the S10 Lite offers plenty of performance for streaming, browsing, note-taking, and light productivity work.
It’s worth noting how the S10 Lite compares against Samsung’s A-series tablets as well. The Galaxy Tab A9+ remains the cheapest option at ₹19,000 for the base 4/64GB Wi-Fi variant, but its stripped-down feature set and weaker performance may not age well. Meanwhile, the upcoming Galaxy Tab A11+ is already drawing attention, as it reportedly delivers a bigger 11-inch LCD screen and stronger specs while undercutting the S10 Lite’s price. That potential overlap has already sparked debate among buyers about whether the S10 Lite truly offers the best value.
On the feature front, the S10 Lite is no slouch. Its 10.9-inch LCD comes with a sharp 2,112 x 1,320 resolution and supports the bundled S Pen stylus – making it a solid pick for students, casual artists, and note-takers. The design is sleek at just 6.6mm thick and 524g in weight, packing in an 8,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging via USB-C 2.0. It also includes stereo speakers for media consumption, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls. Samsung is also offering an optional keyboard cover, which enhances productivity and makes the tablet more appealing to hybrid workers or those who want a lightweight laptop replacement for light tasks.
Ultimately, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite sits in an interesting middle ground: not cheap enough to ignore the upcoming A11+, but not nearly as pricey as the flagship S11. For many Indian buyers, this tablet could become a sweet spot if Samsung positions it correctly and avoids too much overlap with the A-series. Whether it stands out will depend largely on how the A11+ lands – because early buzz suggests that model could deliver surprisingly strong value.
