Samsung continues to refine its upcoming software through the Galaxy S24’s beta program, and this week the company rolled out the third test build of One UI 8. While this release doesn’t introduce fresh features, it plays a crucial role in stabilizing the experience for users already running beta builds.

These incremental updates are designed to polish the interface, address annoying bugs, and ensure performance consistency before the final public release later this year.

The One UI 8 Beta 3 update, identified by firmware version ZY13, is now live in South Korea for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. Beta testers will immediately notice that the changelog is short but meaningful. Samsung focused on four major fixes that were causing user frustration. For instance, a recurring issue where the lock screen clock kept sliding downward on the display has now been corrected. In addition, a problem where fonts appeared stretched or inconsistent across the system has been addressed, ensuring text renders cleanly throughout the interface. Another glitch that made the font on notifications, the status bar, and lock screen PIN entry appear unusually thin has been resolved as well. The final fix stabilizes the behavior of the lock screen’s fast execution icon, which previously had a tendency to vanish mid-use.

Although the update doesn’t spotlight new tools or interface redesigns, it almost certainly includes the September 2025 Android security patch, an important addition that strengthens protection against vulnerabilities. For users who value stability, these improvements are arguably more important than flashy features, as they make daily interactions smoother and more predictable.

Anyone enrolled in the One UI 8 Beta Program can check for the new release by heading to Settings » Software update » Download and install on their Galaxy S24 series phone. After downloading, tapping the Install now button will apply the changes. With each iteration, Samsung moves closer to the stable One UI 8 rollout, and Beta 3 represents another necessary step toward delivering a polished final version to millions of Galaxy S24 owners worldwide.
