Xiaomi is moving full steam ahead with the global rollout of its next-generation software. After unveiling HyperOS 3 in China at the end of August and kicking off a domestic beta program shortly afterward, the company is now extending the opportunity to international users.
The official HyperOS team announced on X (formerly Twitter) that global recruitment for beta testers has begun, giving fans worldwide the chance to try the new system before its public release.
According to Xiaomi, joining the beta is straightforward but requires the Xiaomi Community app. Inside the app, users need to tap on the Me tab, then select Beta Testing. Successful applicants will receive early over-the-air (OTA) updates of HyperOS 3. This means they can explore upcoming features, performance tweaks, and interface refinements well before the stable version reaches general audiences. More importantly, testers are encouraged to share feedback, helping Xiaomi fine-tune the system for a smoother global rollout.
As with any beta program, Xiaomi strongly warns against installing HyperOS 3 on your primary smartphone. Beta builds are experimental by nature and often contain bugs, unfinished features, or performance issues that could impact daily usability. To minimize risks, the company advises users to back up all data before applying. This precaution ensures that personal files, photos, and app settings remain safe even if the test software causes instability.
Industry chatter also suggests Xiaomi has bigger plans. Rumors point to the official global unveiling of HyperOS 3 on September 24, 2025, coinciding with the highly anticipated launch of the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro smartphones. If true, the timing makes sense: pairing new hardware with fresh software often helps showcase the ecosystem’s strengths. Until then, beta testers will have the unique opportunity to explore HyperOS 3 firsthand, offering an early glimpse into Xiaomi’s vision for its next-generation mobile experience.
