Samsung has begun rolling out the second beta version of its upcoming One UI 8 software for the Galaxy S23 lineup, giving owners of the flagship devices a fresh look at what’s coming in the stable release.
This follows the initial beta launch that opened earlier this month, and now Beta 2 brings a wave of fixes and refinements aimed at smoothing out early bugs and improving system stability.
Currently, the update is limited to Samsung’s home market of South Korea, but more regions are expected to follow in the coming weeks. Carrying the firmware version S91xNKSU6ZYI5, the new release is part of Samsung’s push to test One UI 8 extensively before the public rollout later this year
. Early testers, including leaker Tarun Vats, have shared screenshots confirming its arrival and showing the official changelog.
Among the notable fixes, Samsung has resolved a frustrating issue where devices would unexpectedly reset during use. The update also corrects a problem with Samsung DeX, where user settings failed to carry over after updating from the previous operating system. In addition, Galaxy Watch 7 users will be glad to know that the clock’s weather app now refreshes in real time, ensuring more reliable updates.
For those enrolled in the beta program, installing the update is straightforward: navigate to Settings → Software update → Download and install. Samsung is expected to release additional beta builds before the final version of One UI 8 lands, so participants should keep an eye out for further patches and feature refinements.
As with every beta cycle, feedback from early adopters will play a crucial role in shaping the polished version of One UI 8. Galaxy S23 owners who enjoy testing new software are not only getting early access to upcoming features but are also actively contributing to the stability and usability of Samsung’s flagship interface.
