Meizu has officially confirmed the long-awaited launch of its next flagship smartphone, the Meizu 22, setting the debut for September 15 in China. After weeks of teasers and speculation, the company has finally shed light not only on the release date but also on the sleek design and powerful specifications that aim to position the device firmly in the high-end market.
The Meizu 22 comes equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, promising a significant leap in performance efficiency, multitasking, and gaming capabilities. 
It sports a 6.3-inch flat 2.5D display with razor-thin bezels measuring just 1.2mm, previously teased by Meizu in July. The nearly borderless design creates an immersive viewing experience, and the tiny punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera adds to the minimalist aesthetic.
On the rear, the smartphone showcases a triple-camera system inside a square housing positioned at the top-left corner. Each camera is armed with a 50 MP sensor: a main wide-angle lens, an ultrawide for landscape and group shots, and a telephoto with 3x optical zoom for detailed captures. The front camera also features a 50 MP sensor, making the Meizu 22 particularly appealing to photography enthusiasts and vloggers who demand sharp detail and consistency across all lenses.
To support heavy usage, the device integrates a 4,500mm² vapor chamber cooling system, designed to handle prolonged gaming sessions and intensive apps without thermal throttling. Despite its hardware power, the phone maintains a slim profile at 8.15mm and a manageable weight of 190 grams. Rumors also suggest a robust 5,500 mAh battery, which, if accurate, would further boost its endurance for power users.
Pre-bookings have already gone live on Meizu’s official China store, with full details on pricing and availability expected to be revealed during the launch event. If the leaks and official hints hold true, the Meizu 22 could become one of the most compelling compact flagships of 2025, striking a balance between performance, design, and long-lasting battery life.
