Samsung has taken another step forward in refining its latest wearable experience with the rollout of One UI 8 Watch Beta 4 for the Galaxy Watch7 series. 
The new beta build, carrying firmware version L310XXU1ZYI2, comes as a 180MB update package and focuses on fine-tuning both health features and security stability for early testers in South Korea.
According to the changelog shared through Samsung’s official community forum, the standout enhancements arrive in the field of fitness and activity tracking. Running and swimming, two of the most widely used workout modes, now receive upgraded tracking precision, promising more accurate distance measurement, better lap detection, and smarter calorie estimation. For fitness enthusiasts and professional athletes, these refinements could make the Galaxy Watch7 an even more reliable companion for daily training sessions and competitive practice alike.
Beyond sports improvements, Samsung has also bundled the September 2025 security patch with this beta release. This ensures that testers are not only gaining new software features but also benefiting from an additional layer of protection against potential vulnerabilities, which is particularly important for wearables that store sensitive health and personal data.
At present, the One UI 8 Watch Beta 4 is restricted to users in South Korea who are actively enrolled in the beta program. However, given Samsung’s usual global rollout strategy, the update is expected to gradually reach testers in other regions in the near future. Those who have yet to receive the new firmware can try triggering the update manually via the Galaxy Wearable app by navigating to Watch settings > Watch software update on their paired Android phone.
The Galaxy Watch7 remains Samsung’s flagship wearable for 2025, available with 32GB storage and 2GB RAM, and typically priced around €162.90 or $199 depending on the market.
