The Moto G06 is gearing up for launch, and leaks have now revealed nearly everything about the device – from its technical sheet to official-looking renders and even European pricing. Initially spotted back in July and followed by a wave of images in late August, the phone has once again resurfaced with additional visuals in its striking Tapestry colorway, accompanied by a detailed breakdown of its specifications.

The handset sports a large 6.88-inch LCD display with a 720 x 1640 resolution.

While this resolution is firmly in the budget category, Motorola compensates with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for more fluid scrolling and animations. Protection comes courtesy of Gorilla Glass 3, a tried and tested material that isn’t the newest but still adds a degree of scratch resistance. Powering the device is MediaTek’s Helio G81 Extreme chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM. While this processor has been criticized by some users for being outdated, it should be capable of handling basic apps and casual gaming.

On the imaging front, the Moto G06 comes equipped with a 50MP main rear sensor complete with autofocus, accompanied by a decorative flicker sensor that is more for design symmetry than functionality. Selfie lovers will find an 8MP front-facing camera, which aligns with expectations at this price point. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, while dual-SIM support ensures flexibility for those juggling two numbers.

Battery life could be one of the strongest selling points, as Motorola has fitted the G06 with a 5,200 mAh cell. However, charging remains modest at 10W, which will feel slow by today’s standards but should still be sufficient for overnight top-ups. Out of the box, the phone runs Android 15 – a welcome touch that future-proofs the device with the latest software. Storage options include a 64GB model priced at €119 and a 256GB variant for €169, making it one of the more aggressively priced handsets in its segment. Color options go beyond Tapestry, with Arabesque and Tendril also in the lineup for those who prefer variety.

In terms of dimensions, the Moto G06 measures 171.35 x 77.5 x 8.31 mm and weighs 194g, placing it squarely in the mid-sized category. It’s clear Motorola is targeting budget-conscious buyers who want a large screen, strong battery life, and up-to-date software without spending more than €200. Still, the choice of processor remains a sore spot for enthusiasts, many of whom feel the Helio G-series has overstayed its welcome. For casual users though, the Moto G06 may strike a balance of affordability and functionality.
