Lava has quietly expanded its budget-friendly lineup with the official debut of the Lava Bold N1 5G, a device that aims to bring modern connectivity and practical features at a surprisingly low price. 
Just a few months ago, the company launched the 4G version, but the new 5G edition adds extra value while keeping the cost comfortably under the $100 mark – something rare in today’s smartphone market.
At its heart, the Bold N1 5G is powered by the Unisoc T765 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and storage options of 64GB or 128GB, expandable all the way up to a staggering 1TB via microSD. Out of the box, the phone runs Android 15 in its purest form – no bloatware or unnecessary add-ons. Lava also promises one major Android update and at least two years of security patches, which is not common at this price range.
The front of the smartphone showcases a large 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals whether you’re scrolling through social feeds or streaming. The display houses a modest 5MP selfie shooter in a notch. On the back, the phone carries a dual-camera array led by a 13MP primary lens capable of recording up to 4K video, though the function of the secondary camera remains unspecified. Despite this, the inclusion of 4K video capture in such an affordable device is worth noting.
A 5,000 mAh battery fuels the Bold N1 5G, supporting 18W charging, though Lava only includes a 10W adapter in the retail package. Daily users can still expect reliable endurance thanks to the large battery size. Other thoughtful touches include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, an old-school 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio lovers, and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Available in two striking finishes – Royal Blue and Champagne Gold – the Lava Bold N1 5G offers a combination of affordability and practicality. Pricing is set at INR7,499 (around $85/€70) for the 4GB/64GB model and INR7,999 (about $90/€75) for the 4GB/128GB version. Both will be featured in the Amazon Great Indian Festival, making them some of the most accessible 5G-ready smartphones on the market.
