Motorola has officially unveiled the Motorola Edge 60 Neo, a device that continues the company’s push in the competitive upper mid-range smartphone market.
Following in the footsteps of the Edge 50 Neo, this new iteration brings more than just incremental upgrades – it refines the formula with stronger hardware, a larger battery, and durability features usually reserved for flagship devices.
At the core of the Edge 60 Neo sits the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, a 4nm processor that promises both power efficiency and performance. Buyers will be able to pair it with up to 12 GB of RAM and as much as 512 GB of storage, which places it ahead of many rivals in this price segment. Out of the box, the phone ships with Android 15, ensuring users get the latest software experience without waiting for updates.
The front of the device is dominated by a 6.36-inch OLED LTPO display. It delivers a silky 120Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and can hit an impressive 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Protection is handled by Gorilla Glass 7i, and the HDR10+ certification ensures that streaming content looks rich and vibrant. For a device that weighs just 174.5 grams and measures 8.09mm thin, it manages to pack in an unexpectedly generous 5,000 mAh battery. This is a welcome step up from last year’s 4,500 mAh unit. Charging options include 68W wired and 15W wireless charging, making the device practical for heavy daily use.
Durability is another headline feature. The phone is rated at IP68/IP69, meaning it can withstand dust, water immersion, and even high-pressure jets. Combined with MIL-STD-810H certification, the Edge 60 Neo offers reassurance for users who need a phone that can survive rougher conditions.
On the back, Motorola opted to refine rather than reinvent. The triple-camera array returns: a 50 MP Sony Lytia 700C primary sensor with OIS, a 13 MP ultrawide with a 120-degree field of view, and a 10 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. While the setup mirrors last year’s model, software optimizations could make image quality sharper. The 32 MP front-facing camera also stands out for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity is modern and future-proof: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and an in-display fingerprint scanner all make the cut. These features round out a package that feels balanced between performance, entertainment, and reliability.
The Edge 60 Neo will launch in Pantone Frostbite, Poinciana, and Grisaille, reflecting Motorola’s ongoing collaboration with Pantone for bold and distinctive finishes. Pricing details will vary depending on region, with European markets being among the first to receive it. Early impressions suggest that while this device may debut at a premium, its mix of specifications – large storage, bright screen, strong battery, and rugged certifications – makes it appealing for those seeking long-lasting performance without breaking into flagship territory.
For many users, especially those still relying on older LCD-equipped phones with small batteries and slow charging, the Edge 60 Neo could feel like a monumental upgrade. The fact that Motorola managed to squeeze a bigger battery into the same slim profile has already drawn attention, as few alternatives deliver this combination at comparable dimensions. In short, this is a device built to impress both spec-sheet enthusiasts and everyday buyers looking for a dependable daily driver.
