GALAX has rolled out a new premium graphics card in China: the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti HOF Gaming Black Edition.

Already spotted on e-commerce sites, this special variant comes with a steep price tag of around 8,299 Yuan, roughly US$1,160 – nearly 50% higher than the official $749 MSRP.

Like other Hall of Fame (HOF) cards, the Black Edition aims at enthusiasts who want more than just raw power. It brings the same design DNA as the classic white HOF, but wrapped in an all-black shroud for a sleeker look. Underneath, the card features a triple-fan cooling system, a platinum-grade PCB, and premium components, all geared toward stability and overclocking headroom.

Out of the box, the card is factory-boosted to 2610 MHz, with a 1-Click OC mode pushing it to 2625 MHz. With further manual tuning, users can expect even higher clocks, which is what HOF editions are best known for. Another unique feature is the HOF Debug Safety Indicator, a built-in diagnostic tool that helps detect faulty PCIe connections or irregular power delivery – something not found on most GPUs.

Despite the performance perks and premium engineering, the pricing is a sticking point. At over $1,100, the RTX 5070 Ti HOF Gaming Black Edition actually costs more than NVIDIA’s own RTX 5080 Founders Edition. GALAX also introduced a 5080 HOF Gaming Black model, though details on its pricing and availability are still scarce.

For those who value aesthetics, exclusivity, and overclocking potential, the RTX 5070 Ti HOF Gaming Black is a tempting piece of hardware. But for most buyers, its cost may be difficult to justify when competing cards offer more power at lower prices.
