Whispers around the DC gaming scene have turned into louder hints, and now fans think Injustice 3 is finally on its way. The spark? Comments from two familiar voices – Phil LaMarr, known for Green Lantern, and George Newbern, the definitive voice of Superman for many. Both actors have a long history with DC, not only in animated projects but also in NetherRealm’s Injustice series. 
And according to multiple fan encounters at recent conventions, they may have just let slip that Injustice 3 is in development.
Reports from attendees at FanExpo in Toronto and other events suggest the actors confirmed the project when asked about their work. One fan shared on X that Newbern, while chatting about MultiVersus, casually mentioned he was working on Injustice 3. Another fan claimed LaMarr outright said, “They’re doing Injustice 3,” while signing a copy of Injustice 2. These accounts quickly spread across Reddit and DC-focused communities.
Of course, the idea of a third entry isn’t exactly a shock. NetherRealm has long alternated between Mortal Kombat and Injustice titles, and with Mortal Kombat 1 content now wrapped, the studio seems ready to pivot back to DC’s superhero brawls. The leaks and internal discussions involving WB’s DC leads James Gunn and Peter Safran only fuel the speculation further.
That said, nothing official has been announced yet. Without concrete proof – like footage, a press release, or at least a filmed slip-up – fans are advised to temper expectations. Still, nearly a decade has passed since Injustice 2, and excitement is boiling over at the thought of iconic heroes and villains clashing again. If these hints prove true, Injustice 3 could soon bring the Justice League back into the fight.
