MSI has officially unveiled the Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG, a compact mini PC that manages to pack enterprise-grade performance and AI capabilities into a body smaller than most hardcover books.
With Intel’s new Lunar Lake processors inside, this 0.8-liter machine aims to be a smart balance between power, portability, and sustainability.
At its heart, the Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 200V chips, offering up to 8 cores and 8 threads, with options for the Core Ultra 7 258V or the more powerful Core Ultra 9 288V. Both bring Xe2-based Arc 140V graphics, capable of handling creative workloads and even some gaming, while delivering up to 48 TOPS of AI performance through a built-in NPU
. This makes it a certified Copilot+ AI PC, meaning it comes ready for features like Live Captions with translation, Cocreator, Recall, and Click-to-Do.
The system supports 32 GB of fast LPDDR5X memory and a single M.2 2280 SSD, ensuring speed in both multitasking and storage.
Connectivity is another highlight: users get dual Thunderbolt 4 ports (including one with 100W power delivery), multiple 10 Gbps USB-A ports, and options for WiFi 6E/WiFi 7 or 2.5G LAN. A built-in microphone, speaker, and fingerprint power button make it suitable for secure office work and remote productivity setups.
MSI hasn’t overlooked sustainability either. The Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG is constructed with 37.25% recycled plastic and comes in FSC-certified packaging. Its MSI Power Meter app also helps track and optimize energy usage, giving users visibility into costs and emissions. A dedicated Copilot key on the chassis provides instant access to Microsoft’s AI assistant tools.
The mini PC is priced from $899 for the Core Ultra 7 barebone edition, while a business-oriented configuration with a Core Ultra 9 and 1TB SSD is listed at $1256. With its combination of AI horsepower, eco-conscious design, and compact footprint, MSI’s Cubi NUC AI+ 2MG is aiming at professionals, educators, and content creators who need serious computing in a very small space.
