Google’s Pixel 10 family has barely been unveiled, yet the first units are already landing in the hands of early buyers across the UK, Australia, and India.

The company only opened pre-orders last week for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. While official store availability begins tomorrow, several customers report receiving their devices ahead of schedule.

Early owners are also greeted with a 579MB update right out of the box, designed to polish performance before first use. Some shipments even included the new Pixelsnap charger with stand, a small but welcome bonus for power users.

The Pixel 10 Pro XL, Google’s oversized flagship, is drawing the most conversation thanks to its much-hyped 100x zoom. The feature uses a mix of sensor data and AI-driven image reconstruction to produce what look like detailed long-range shots. But critics argue it’s more about clever algorithms than true optical quality, with some dismissing the results as ‘AI hallucinations’ rather than photographic breakthroughs. Fans of Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Ultra will remember that it attempted similar “space zoom” tricks more than five years ago – with mixed results.

Still, for those loyal to the Pixel brand, the Pixel 10 lineup promises Google’s clean software experience, cutting-edge AI integration, and competitive hardware at a premium price point. The entry-level Pixel 10 starts at €899/£799, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold commands a hefty $1,799 in the US and C$2,399 in Canada.

Whether the Pixel 10’s AI-driven camera smarts and smooth Android updates justify the steep pricing remains up for debate – but one thing is clear: Google is delivering early, literally and figuratively.
