The OnePlus 13R is receiving a fresh OxygenOS 15.0.0.850 update, packed with both security enhancements and functional upgrades. 
Rolling out first in India, this release brings the August 2025 Android security patch alongside a collection of smart refinements designed to make daily use smoother and safer.
One of the standout features is BeaconLink, which now allows users to send text, voice, and image messages to people nearby even without internet access. The function can be found under Settings > Mobile Network > BeaconLink, making it a handy tool when connectivity drops.
Private Safe has also been expanded. Users can now share images and videos stored there, personalize album covers, and sort content by time. Additionally, files can be dropped straight into the new Other files category, giving more freedom over how personal content is organized and hidden away.
Visual tweaks haven’t been overlooked either. Floating window animations have been refined, banner notifications in landscape mode are less disruptive, and you can drag split view dividers to any ratio instead of being stuck with preset layouts. Notifications in landscape can now open apps in floating windows with a simple tap, cutting down interruptions during media or gaming sessions.
The changelog also highlights smaller but useful touches, like the ability to change lock status of apps by swiping down in the recent tasks screen. Altogether, these refinements make multitasking and notifications more intuitive on the OnePlus 13R.
The update, identified as CPH2691_15.0.0.850(EX01), is currently being delivered to a limited number of users, with a wider rollout expected within days.
