Ulefone is preparing to expand its tablet lineup with the launch of two new models – the Tab A9 Pro and the Tab A9 Pro Kids, both set to arrive on September 15.
These devices follow last year’s Tab A10 Pro but take a more affordable and compact direction.
Ulefone Tab A9 Pro
The Tab A9 Pro is powered by the Helio G91 chipset and runs Android 15 out of the box. It features 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. The tablet uses an 8.68-inch display with a 1340×800 resolution, a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness, and Widevine L1 certification, which means you can stream videos in 1080p on apps like Netflix and Prime Video.
For imaging, the Tab A9 Pro carries an 8MP selfie camera (Samsung S5K4H8YX13) and a dual rear camera setup: a 12MP Sony IMX363 main shooter plus a 13MP Samsung ultrawide lens with a wide 136.5° field of view. The 5,040 mAh battery supports 18W USB-C fast charging. Other highlights include LTE support, dual stereo speakers, and even a 3.5mm headphone jack – a rarity these days. At just 7.9mm thickness and 326.5g, it’s lightweight and comes in Marble White or Galaxy Blue for only $99.99 (€85).
Ulefone Tab A9 Pro Kids
The Tab A9 Pro Kids is essentially the same tablet, repackaged for children. It includes a colorful protective case, a dual-tip stylus for doodling and school tasks, and a dedicated Child-Friendly Mode to keep the experience safer for kids. Without the case, it weighs 326.2g, but with it, the weight jumps to 516g. Available in Pink and Blue, the kid-friendly edition is priced at $109.99 (€95).
Both models aim to deliver solid performance at a budget price point. However, some users of earlier Ulefone devices have noted issues like overly blue-tinted displays with limited calibration options. Still, the aggressive pricing, multimedia focus, and kid-friendly features could make these new tablets appealing to families or anyone looking for an affordable secondary device.
