Itel has quietly dropped a new entry-level smartphone in India – the Zeno 20 – and its biggest selling point is the price tag.
At just INR 5,999 (around $70), this budget-friendly device is aimed at users who want all the basics covered without breaking the bank.
The Zeno 20 features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, a rarity at this price. Under the hood, it’s powered by the Unisoc Tiger T7100 chipset and comes in two variants: 3GB RAM with 64GB storage or 4GB RAM with 128GB storage. Storage is also expandable via microSD.
Photography is kept simple with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies. Powering everything is a 5,000 mAh battery, while software duties are handled by Android 14 Go Edition, optimized for low-cost hardware.
Surprisingly, the Zeno 20 packs some extras not often found in this segment: IP54 splash resistance, a built-in Aivana 2.0 voice assistant with Hindi language support, DTS audio enhancements, and even one free screen replacement from the company.
Buyers can choose from Starlit Black, Space Titanium, and Aurora Blue. The device will be sold exclusively on Amazon.in. Pricing starts at INR 5,999 for the 3GB/64GB early bird offer (rising by INR 250 afterward) and INR 6,899 for the 4GB/128GB model (plus INR 300 at standard pricing). Shipments begin on August 25.
