Universal Studios Hollywood is cranking up the fear this fall with a first-of-its-kind anime horror experience: Chainsaw Man: The Chaos.
Chainsaw Man: The Chaos Slashes Into Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2025
The short film, exclusive to Halloween Horror Nights 2025, will screen inside the DreamWorks Theatre and plunge guests into a blood-soaked battle straight from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s iconic manga and MAPPA’s hit anime adaptation.

The story follows Denji and the Devil Hunters as they take on a new nightmare created just for the event: the Halloween Horror Nights Devil and his horde of zombies. Denji, fused with his chainsaw-wielding alter ego, delivers a visceral showdown packed with screams, gore, and chaos – designed to make audiences feel like they’re trapped inside an episode of the series itself.

Halloween Horror Nights kicks off on September 4 and runs select nights through November 2, 2025. The addition of Chainsaw Man to the lineup marks another step in the growing crossover between anime and immersive theme park attractions. Fans who want more won’t have to wait long either – the highly anticipated feature film, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and written by Hiroshi Seko, hits Japanese theaters on September 19 before slashing into US screens on October 29, 2025. The voice cast from the 2022 anime series is reprising their roles, making it one of the most hyped anime events of the year.

IGN’s review of the original anime praised it as a brutal, stylish, and surprisingly heartfelt take on the manga, earning a 9/10 score. Now, with horror fans and anime lovers colliding at Universal Studios, this exclusive short could become one of the standout highlights of the Halloween season.
