The Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ have officially launched in China, bringing major upgrades that push Xiaomi’s mid-range line closer to flagship territory. Both devices share a massive 7,000mAh battery – a significant bump from last year’s models – making them some of the largest-battery phones in their class.
The Note 15 Pro+ also debuts with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, while the standard Pro runs on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 7400 Ultra.
On the display side, both models feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a crisp 1,280 x 2,772 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness. The screen supports 12-bit color depth and is protected by Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass. Dust and water resistance has also been upgraded, with both phones rated IP68 and IP69K.
The Note 15 Pro+ comes with 90W wired charging, while the Pro settles for 45W. Both can reverse charge other devices at 22.5W, essentially acting as powerbanks. Storage options go up to 512GB, with the Pro+ available in trims up to 16GB RAM.
Camera setups remain familiar: the Pro+ packs a 50MP OV Light Hunter 800 main sensor, a 50MP 2.5x telephoto portrait lens, and an 8MP ultrawide. The Pro carries a 50MP LYT-600 main camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide. While Xiaomi hasn’t introduced major imaging changes, the new chips could enhance overall processing and efficiency.
Color choices include Midnight Black, Cedar White, Sky Blue, and Purple shades, with pricing starting at CNY 1,499 ($208) for the Pro and CNY 1,999 ($278) for the Pro+. A special Satellite Messaging Edition of the Pro+ – the first ever for a Redmi – tops out at CNY 2,499 ($348).
Both phones run HyperOS 2, Xiaomi’s latest Android 15-based interface, which continues to spark curiosity and criticism in the community regarding its compatibility with custom launchers and gesture controls. Global availability has yet to be confirmed, and fans are already speculating whether international versions will come with spec downgrades.
