Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Leak Reveals Sleeker Design and Bigger Battery

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is shaping up to be the brand’s boldest tablet yet, and leaked images confirm one of the biggest design changes users have been asking for: a smaller notch. Unlike its predecessors – the Tab S8 Ultra, S9 Ultra, and S10 Ultra – which all carried a dual selfie camera setup that forced a wide notch, the new Tab S11 Ultra will feature just one front-facing camera.

Thanks to its thin bezels, a notch is still necessary, but this time it’s a subtle semicircular cutout that barely eats into the expansive 14.6-inch OLED screen.

The panel itself sticks to a resolution of 2,960 x 1,848px, though Samsung is reportedly introducing a new display with potential upgrades like higher brightness. On the back, two lenses – a wide and an ultra-wide – remain standard. Observers have also spotted three mysterious pins on the rear, hinting at possible new accessories or a redesigned keyboard case.

Performance-wise, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is expected to launch with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400, despite earlier rumors of the 9400+. The difference between the two chips is minor, with the Plus version pushing slightly higher clock speeds and neural processing performance. Either way, the tablet is no slouch, boasting up to 16GB of RAM (with a 12GB base) and storage options reaching 1TB. Out of the box, it will run Android 16 with Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8, bringing new large-screen optimizations.

Samsung has also shaved down the body to a razor-thin 5.1mm while still fitting in a larger 11,600mAh battery, compared to the Tab S10 Ultra’s 11,200mAh at 5.4mm. Charging remains unchanged at 45W. The official debut is expected at IFA in early September, where Samsung will likely reveal how it intends to balance sleek design with real-world usability. Because while the smaller notch is an improvement, many users argue they’d rather see the bezel slightly thicker for easier grip and less reliance on awkward cutouts for cameras.
