Where Winds Meet, the ambitious open-world martial arts RPG from Everstone Studio and NetEase, finally has a Western release date.
The game will arrive on PS5 and PC on November 14, 2025, marking its long-awaited debut outside of Asia.
Originally launched on PC in China back in December 2024, followed by an iOS and Android rollout earlier this year, the title has steadily built up anticipation among global players. According to Everstone’s lead designer Chris Lyu, this release is the culmination of five years of dedicated work. “We’ve poured our hearts into every detail, and now we’re ready to share this vision with the world,” he said.
Lyu emphasized that the team’s mission was to introduce the beauty and intensity of Eastern martial arts through a format that feels fresh yet approachable. “We want it to feel different, but also familiar enough for players everywhere to connect with it,” he explained in an earlier interview.
The most recent PC and PS5 test wrapped up last month, hinting at a near-final version of the game. Players can expect a sprawling open world shaped by Chinese history, martial traditions, and mythical storytelling – a blend that aims to distinguish it from more conventional Western RPGs.
With its upcoming release, Where Winds Meet is positioning itself as one of 2025’s most intriguing action-adventure RPGs, merging cultural depth with the kind of open-ended freedom modern players crave. Now the question remains: will the West embrace this fusion of artistry and combat when the winds finally arrive?
