iOS 26 Beta 7 Brings Smarter Power Management and Health Tracking

Apple has rolled out iOS 26 Beta 7, introducing a clever feature designed to squeeze more life out of your iPhone battery. The new Adaptive Power Notifications setting quietly manages performance by dimming the display, adjusting background tasks, and even enabling Low Power Mode automatically once the battery hits 20%.

Unlike the usual Low Power Mode, which makes obvious system-wide changes, Adaptive Power aims to stretch usage with subtle tweaks you may barely notice.

Early testers can find the toggle under Settings > Battery > Power Mode. This functionality is exclusive to iPhone models supporting Apple Intelligence, including the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup. The AI-driven approach hints at how Apple plans to blend machine learning with power management.

Meanwhile, Apple continues fine-tuning its design language. The Liquid Glass UI – a translucent visual effect that has shifted across earlier betas – appears softer in this release, with toned-down transparency. With only one or two more betas expected before September’s full iOS 26 launch, users are curious to see the final polish.

Beta 7 also reintroduces Blood Oxygen monitoring across iOS 26 and watchOS 27, following Apple’s workaround to a patent dispute. Now, SpO2 readings from compatible Apple Watch models (Series 9, Series 10, Ultra 2) are routed into the iPhone’s Health app instead of appearing directly on the watch display. For most healthy users, oxygen saturation typically ranges between 95% and 100%.

With iOS 26 nearing its stable release, beta testers are eager to step off the trial ride and return to a more reliable experience. Despite a few hiccups, such as occasional missed call alerts, Apple’s beta cycle has been relatively smooth – offering an early glimpse at features that soon every iPhone user will see firsthand.
