NVIDIA is rolling out the biggest update yet for its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, powered by the new Blackwell architecture.

At no extra cost, subscribers can now access RTX 5080-class performance combined with AMD’s latest Zen 5 CPUs, offering a major leap forward in both graphics and computing power.

The upgraded RTX 5080 SuperPods come with 48 GB of VRAM and double the tensor cores, giving a massive uplift for AI-driven features like DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation. On the CPU side, the shift from Zen 3 to Zen 5 cores means a 30% performance jump at 4.4 GHz, ensuring games feel snappier and more consistent than ever before. NVIDIA claims this setup delivers nearly three times the power of the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Perhaps the most eye-catching promise is Cinematic Quality Streaming (CQS). With full YUV 4:4:4 chroma for sharper text, HDR10 support, advanced AI video filters, and AV1 streaming, NVIDIA says GeForce NOW can finally match – or even surpass – the visual clarity of gaming on a high-end local PC. For competitive players, Low Latency Streaming (LLS) with Reflex integration pushes response times as low as 30ms, rivaling dedicated hardware performance.

Device support has also expanded. Steam Deck OLED owners can now stream at 90 FPS, while Lenovo Legion Go users get 120 FPS. LG’s latest OLED TVs and monitors are supported up to 5K 120Hz, and Logitech racing wheels now work seamlessly with the service. Meanwhile, NVIDIA is doubling down on game availability: the Install-to-Play feature will expand the library to more than 4,500 titles, streamed with local-like performance thanks to high-speed NVMesh storage and persistent save data across sessions.

Flagship new releases like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Borderlands 4, and The Outer Worlds 2 are confirmed for GeForce NOW, alongside NVIDIA’s partnerships with Discord and Epic to make game invites and trials more social and accessible. Importantly, despite the sweeping upgrades, prices remain unchanged – the Ultimate plan stays at $19.99 per month, while Performance starts at $9.99. Extra cloud storage is available starting at $2.99 for 200 GB.

The Blackwell-powered GeForce NOW rollout begins in September, and NVIDIA is already touting it as the closest cloud gaming has ever come to replacing a local high-end PC setup.
