Apple has rolled out the seventh beta of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26, signaling that the public launch is just weeks away.
Developers enrolled in Apple’s program can already download the new builds on their iPhones, iPads, and Macs through the usual Software Update section in Settings.
The release arrives one week after beta 6, maintaining Apple’s steady weekly testing cycle. For iPhone and iPad, the process is identical: head to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates. However, access is only granted if your Apple ID is linked to a registered Developer Account. The same requirement applies to macOS Tahoe 26 beta 7, which is available through System Settings on the Mac.
Alongside these updates, Apple has also seeded watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26 beta 7, bringing all platforms closer to final release. Stability has improved significantly compared to early summer builds after WWDC 2025, making these betas more reliable for daily use. Still, Apple advises general users to wait for the official public rollout, expected next month, before making the jump.
With multiple platforms now nearing completion, the countdown to Apple’s major September software release event has officially begun.
