Rockstar Games just dropped a surprise update for Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced on PC, and it’s bigger than expected.
GTA 5 Enhanced Update Adds DLSS 4 and Drift Week Cars
The update officially adds DLSS 4 support, giving players with RTX 40 and 50 Series GPUs a serious performance boost, while also packing in fresh content for GTA Online’s new Drift Week event.

The DLSS 4 integration had been possible to force through Nvidia’s tools before, but now Rockstar has added native in-game support. According to Nvidia, running GTA 5 at 4K max settings with multi-frame generation can push RTX 50 Series frame rates up to 3.9x higher on average. That’s a major win for players who want smoother visuals without sacrificing detail.

Beyond the graphics upgrade, Rockstar is serving up plenty of toys for GTA Online fans. Four cars-the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire, Annis Hardy, Vapid Dominator FX, and Dinka Chavos V6-are getting Drift Tuning upgrades. Plus, for a limited time, players can claim the new Declasse Drift Walton L35 completely free. It’s a clear nod to the community’s love of drifting challenges.

The update also teases what’s coming later this year: a brand-new Survival mode, spooky Halloween activities, and GTA$ giveaways. All of this should help keep the player base busy while anticipation for GTA 6 continues to build.

For those who haven’t revisited GTA 5’s single-player since its original release, this might be the perfect excuse. The campaign still holds up as one of Rockstar’s strongest, while Online remains a chaotic playground that continues to evolve.
