It’s now looking almost certain that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold won’t be arriving alongside the rest of Google’s Pixel 10 lineup this August. Recent leaks and insider reports have consistently focused on the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, leaving the foldable absent from the conversation-and for good reason. Trusted leakers Evan Blass and Roland Quandt both suggest that the foldable’s launch has been pushed to October 9, making patience the name of the game for eager fans.
While the main Pixel 10 family is expected to be announced on August 20, with pre-orders opening the next day and shipping from August 28, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will likely share its October debut with the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a. 
This delay puts it at a disadvantage against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, already on shelves, and potentially the Apple Watch Series 11, which may appear before Google’s wearables drop.
There’s also a chance the October date isn’t final-depending on what’s causing the holdup, Google could push the foldable closer to the holiday shopping season. Still, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be worth the wait. Compared to last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold, it’s rumored to jump from a 4,650mAh to a roughly 5,000mAh battery, add Qi2 wireless charging, and pack Google’s new 3nm Tensor G5 chip. Modest boosts in charging speed and a slightly larger secondary screen (6.4 inches vs 6.3) may also help it win over Galaxy Z Fold 7 holdouts.
While it’s unlikely to match Samsung’s latest in slimness or weight, keeping similar dimensions while packing a bigger battery would be an engineering feat. If these upgrades matter more to you than getting your hands on it right away, October could be the right time to decide which foldable is truly best for you.
