Google is once again embracing its playful rivalry with Apple by teasing its upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold ahead of launch. In a new video, the tech giant offers a clear-if slightly cheeky-reason why its latest foldable might outshine traditional flagships: you get to open it twice. 
That’s right, the brand is banking on the tactile joy of unfolding the device, doubling the thrill of unboxing.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is Google’s third foldable, and while the humor in its marketing may divide opinions, there’s more to it than a clever tagline. While its design won’t dramatically diverge from the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, subtle refinements are in store. The cover screen will grow from 6.3 to 6.4 inches, thanks to slimmer bezels and a tighter hinge gap. More importantly, it’s rumored to be the first dust-proof foldable, setting a new durability standard in the category. A slightly larger battery is also expected.
Under the hood, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is tipped to pack Google’s new Tensor G5 chip, paired with 16GB of RAM and up to a massive 1TB of storage. While the official unveiling is set for August 20, recent reports suggest the foldable’s actual release might slip to October.
With Samsung reclaiming dominance in the foldable arena after the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Google has its work cut out. But with a mix of refinement, durability upgrades, and some well-placed humor, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could still be a strong contender.
