OnePlus has officially entered the tablet manufacturing space in India through a new partnership with Bhagwati Products Limited (BPL), a leading electronics manufacturer. 
The production will take place at BPL’s advanced facility in Greater Noida, marking a significant expansion of OnePlus’ local manufacturing efforts.
Initially, the factory will produce two models: the OnePlus Pad 3 and the OnePlus Pad Lite. This is the first time OnePlus tablets will be made in India, adding to the company’s existing portfolio of locally manufactured products such as smartphones and accessories, including the recently launched Bullets Wireless Z3.
The initiative is part of OnePlus’ Project Starlight, aimed at boosting local integration and production capabilities. By assembling tablets domestically, the brand seeks to strengthen its commitment to Indian consumers while fostering economic growth and innovation within the country.
Robin Liu, CEO of OnePlus India, highlighted the importance of the move: “The collaboration with BPL marks a strategic milestone in our India journey towards deepening our manufacturing capabilities and expanding our connected ecosystem. By localizing tablet production, we are reinforcing our commitment to India and creating meaningful value for our community.”

With this step, OnePlus strengthens its foothold in India’s growing tech ecosystem, signaling a long-term investment in local production and innovation.
